I visited the Emeryville Public Market for the first time in quite a while recently, and decided on NabiQ Korean BBQ for dinner.
They have a fairly large menu, and after a while of deciding, I finally went with the spicy pork plate. It comes with spicy pork, veggies, japchae, and rice. I have to say that the spicy pork was very tasty! The japchae was as well. It initially didn't look like a lot of food in the plate when I first got it, but it definitely filled me up!
The service was quick and friendly as well! I definitely recommend trying this spot out if you're at the Emeryville Public Market! -

It's fine... I was craving some bibimbap and when I saw it on the menu, I just had to have it. I ordered it and they asked what kind of meat I wanted so I said beef and then I saw the price go way up. So still got it but be warned that the bibimbap is vege only and any meat is additional cost. It took them a bit longer to make this instead of their combos, which others had ordered, which I think was prepared earlier and just assembled. The rice and veges were plentiful; the meat was tender; the service was fine but in the end, it was just OK. It is somewhat of a more upscale food court so I expected the food to match that vibe but it could be something I could find at a regular mall food court that served Korean food.
If I were to come back, I'd probably choose another place. -

A very small step above mall food court quality. Don't get the basil chicken.
(Has anyone ever said: "Boy, I only drink water if it's scented with lemon?") -

I visited here for lunch. The staff looks like the same ones from the old Sorabol. I ordered the spicy pork with all broccoli. I did not have to wait long for my meal to be ready.
I found the spicy pork dish to be drenched in sauce. The spicy of the sauce was not spicy unfortunately. The pork meat was a mixture of meat and fat. I used the remaining sauce to dip the broccoli, as it had not seasoning.
For the price and the amount of food given, I think it is a more filling option from the other vendors. -

Quick Summary:
- They provide the tracker machine
- Wait time was around ten minutes or less
- Portion was good for a bowl of fried rice
I ordered ramen from one place, but I knew I won't be full after eating it, so I came to NabiQ. For me, who has only visited the Public Market three times, this was a new restaurant. I love Korean BBQ, so the name caught my attention immediately upon entering the food cafeteria.
When I approached the cashier, they handed me a menu with pictures. When it came to my turn, although the garlic shrimp did sound very appealing to me, I ordered the pork fried rice. They handed me the tracking machine, so I was able to go back to my seat and wait until the machine beeped and blinked. This only took around ten minutes or less, so I got the order piping hot.
When I opened it, I was surprised by the almost equal ratio of the pork versus the rice. It was like eating a meal of pork and rice! The meat pieces were large but also quite tender when I bit into them. There were some charred parts, so some made dry crunchy noises. I liked the rice flavor too. The salt content was just right, so I was able to eat this without wanting cups of water.
I would like to come back again to try the garlic shrimp for sure.
